i got a technical website which is getting more then 1 lack visitors per day. and im doing a good business with this, but now i want to earn more revenue through banner advertising!
can anybody tell me how can i get these type of advertising for my niche.
Few of my friends suggested to contact with advertising agencies, but i have no idea about these type of marketing.
Please suggest me how to approach these advertising agencies.

You have two options:
(a) sell your own ad space – the benefit of which is that you get 100% of the income, but will take time and resources on your part
(b) use a third party ad agency – while they will handle the selling part, you get only a percentage of the revenue which can either be 50-50 or 60-40
1. Join an advertising network. Advertising networks are organizations that aggregate Web sites that offer advertising space, and sell banner ads (and other advertising options) across them. Traffic requirement is often a minimum of 5,000 monthly impressions, although many do not accept sites hosted by free page services.
